A Joke to Start the Week: Young Jews Telling Old Jokes - "My Rabbi is the Best"

Every Monday we start the week with a joke, usually an old Jew retelling an old joke. We've brought you clips from the Old Jews Telling Jokes collection and from our own video recordings of old Jews at Kutsher's Resort in the Catskills and volunteer joke tellers at locations where we've done our comedy shows.

We don't see an end to the supply of jokes and old Jews to tell them, but we think it's a good idea to start cultivating a new generation of Jewish joke tellers. Talya Miller made it easy for us to start by having her old joke posted on YouTube by her father, Rabbi Jason Miller, a rabbi, kashrut supervisor, entrepreneur, blogger, writer, speaker, and stand-up comedian.

Seven-year-old Talya, having heard the joke told by her father some time ago, shows that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree by delivering the joke in fine form. Here's the setup:

One time, three guys are walking home from shul, and they're talking about how great their rabbis were. The first guy said "My rabbi is the best. Let me tell you a story about it." And then...

Enjoy!
