A Song for Yom Kippur? Leave it to Jewbilation!

Yom Kippur, the most solemn day in the Jewish year, has always been a challenge to us at Jewish Humor Central. How could we be funny on Yom Kippur and at the same time offer a post that reflects the dominant themes of soul-searching and repentance?

Jewibilation, the talented songwriting and singing team of Richard Seaman and Andy Dimond, have been giving us creative parodies of pop songs for all the Jewish holidays for the past few years.

This year they dipped into the Beatles songbook and came up with On Yom Kippur, a twist on the Beatles' song The Night Before that fulfills our needs for an appropriate Yom Kippur expression.

We hope it leads you into a Yom Kippur that will be meaningful and we wish you an easy fast.

G'mar Chatimah Tovah.

  1. While you went way out on a limb with this one,...it worked! I loved it. The spirit of Yom Kippur was still there in a humorous way. Are those really your voices? Not bad for two Jewish boys!
