Comedy Showcase: Israeli Comedian Yossi Tarablus at Tel Aviv's Stand-up Factory

Yossi Tarablus is an Israeli comedian who performs both in Hebrew and English in Israel and around the world.

His smart and honest style creates a hilarious combination of his life experiences as a husband, a father, and of course, as an Israeli.

His years of experience, wide appeal, and ability to perform family-friendly material have made him a regular for comedy clubs, universities, army bases, holiday groups, and corporate events. Not only has Yossi performed in New York, Paris, and Sydney, he was also the first Israeli to be invited to NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2008.

In addition his many standup appearances on TV, Yossi has hosted a popular late-night radio show and has written wrote for shows including "Tzchok M'avoda", "Kztarim", "Layla B’kef", "Dudu Topaz", and more.

In this clip from a performance at the Stand-up Factory in Tel Aviv, Tarablus talks about his vacation in Eilat, shopping, and vegans.

Enjoy!

More Israeli Standup Comedy From Shahar Hason and Yossi Tarablus

Comedians Yohay Sponder and Shahar Hason got their start as comedians in Israel catering exclusively to Hebrew-speaking audiences. As the two became more and more well-known to Hebrew speakers throughout Israel, they noticed a huge demographic in the country that was missing out on the laughs.

Sponder and Hason took the risk of crafting and re-writing their material from Hebrew to English (and from Israeli humor to American humor), all the while unsure whether or not they would even get a laugh out of an English speaking crowd. Their hard work and dedication to broadening the audience of one of Israel’s most unique cultural elements has launched the growing scene of Israeli Stand-up in English.

Last year Sponder, Hason, Yossi Tarablus, and some of their friends took their show, Funny Monday, on a tour of Europe and visited Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and Manchester. Here is another video highlight of the tour.

Enjoy!

From Israel With Laughs: More Israeli Standup Comedy in Engish

Back in February we started a new series, bringing you some of the stand-up routines from the Chelsea Hotel in Tel Aviv. We know that the language that these comics use it a bit raw and uncensored, but it is typical of Israeli humor. Besides Sponder and Hason, today's video includes bits from Yossi Tarablus.
Enjoy!
