Welcoming Shabbat with Lechu Neranena by Two Los Angeles Cantors

Lechu Neranena is the opening psalm of Kabbalat Shabbat, inviting us to come together and sing our hearts out.

Here is a melody composed by Cantor Jacqueline Rafii of the Shomrei Torah Synagogue in West Hills, California for this text, inspired by its joyous and uplifting words. Cantor Lisa Peicott of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in L.A. joins her for this performance.

Enjoy, and Shabbat shalom!

Welcoming Shabbat with Lecha Dodi by Cantor Lisa Peicott of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple

For this Shabbat we're sharing the 34th version of Lecha Dodi that we've posted over the years. This version is sung by Cantor Lisa Peicott of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles.

One of America’s most highly respected congregations, Wilshire Boulevard Temple has been serving the Los Angeles Jewish community since its founding in 1862 as Congregation B’nai B'rith, the city’s first synagogue.

Today, Wilshire Boulevard Temple carries out the mission through a variety of ways, as a center for Jewish spirituality and celebration, a place for lifelong learning and friendship and home to an engaged congregation where every person can make a difference.

Enjoy, and Shabbat shalom!
