Welcoming Shabbat with Yedid Nefesh by Brazilian Cantor Ale Edelstein

Tonight we welcome Shabbat with a version of Yedid Nefesh by Cantor Ale Edelstein of the Israelita Paulista Congregation of Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Edelstein has pop artist status in the Jewish community; he does two weddings and one bar mitzvah per week.He studied at the Tel Aviv Cantor Institute, a school run by the renowned Chazan Naftali Hershtik.

It's Adar II - Here Come the Purim Videos! Let's Start with Purim Besimcha by the Brazilian Yeshiva Boys

Mishenichnas Adar Marbim Besimcha. From the beginning of the month of Adar we increase our simcha by sharing the latest Purim videos. 

Now that we're into Adar II and Purim is just 10 days away, let's start the Purim celebration with a video produced by the students of Yeshiva Guevoha Beer Avraham in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Every year the bachurim of the Yeshiva Guevoha gather to compose a fun and happy song for Purim to share with all the community around the world. This year their song is Purim Besimcha.

Here Come the Purim Videos: "The Chosen" by Yeshiva Guevoha in Sao Paulo, Brazil

We're getting close to Purim. It's coming next week, so we're starting to post Purim videos. Our first Purim video of the year was actually published a year ago by Yeshiva Guevoha of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In this video with Portuguese, Hebrew, and English subtitles, the Yeshiva students act out Chosen -- the Purim story to a lively beat. Enjoy!
