"Rebbetzin Rivka Leah Zelwig" Shows How To Do Extreme Passover Cleaning

Here's a funny Passover video that appeared last year but didn't come to our attention until now. It's one of a series of comedy caricatures in which  Danielle Jacobs plays the role of Rebbetzin Rivka Leah Zelwig commenting on getting ready for Pesach, Purim, Chanukah, and other aspects of Jewish life.

In a high-pitched, grating voice, she shares her thoughts about the job of getting the house clean for Pesach, while using an electric drill and saw to remove kitchen components for cleaning. As the clip ends, she's rushing to help her daughter remove the toilet for cleaning. The video is chock full of yeshivish expressions and references. Enjoy!

(A SPECIAL NOTE FOR NEW EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS:  THE VIDEO MAY NOT BE VIEWABLE DIRECTLY FROM THE EMAIL THAT YOU GET EACH DAY ON SOME COMPUTERS AND TABLETS.  YOU MUST CLICK ON THE TITLE AT THE TOP OF THE EMAIL TO REACH THE JEWISH HUMOR CENTRAL WEBSITE, FROM WHICH YOU CLICK ON THE PLAY BUTTON IN THE VIDEO IMAGE TO START THE VIDEO.)

  1. I probably would like it IF I COULD UNDERSTAND HALF OF WHAT SHE'S SAYING.

    1. She's speaking Yeshivish, a dialect that we blogged about on January 7, 2010. Here's the link for your enjoyment.

  4. I have no trouble understanding her - but there are a lot of phrases that are hebrew or yeshivish slang - This is hysterical! What an entertaining spoof
