A Joke to Start the Week: "A Seat at Giants Stadium"

Another Monday, another joke to start the week. But this week, there's something different.

When we started the weekly joke, we relied pretty heavily on the joke inventory of Old Jews Telling Jokes. But as we started our lecture tour, we found that members of the audience were anxious to have their jokes heard as well.

It started at Kutsher's in the Catskills at the beginning of July, and that's why most of the July jokes came from the videos that we took in the lobby of that venerable resort hotel.

At the end of July, we gave a presentation at a 55+ gated community in New Jersey, and when we offered a few minutes of fame to anyone who wanted to share a joke, we found some good customers. Hence, Jersey Jews Telling Jokes, a new series which will apppear for the next four Mondays.

If you like the series, let us know with a "like" or "more jokes" entry in the comments section, and we'll continue collecting Jersey jokes and jokes from other locations where we are booked for shows, lectures, and presentations.

Enjoy!

(A SPECIAL NOTE FOR NEW EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS:  THE VIDEO MAY NOT BE VIEWABLE DIRECTLY FROM THE EMAIL THAT YOU GET EACH DAY ON SOME COMPUTERS AND TABLETS.  YOU MUST CLICK ON THE TITLE AT THE TOP OF THE EMAIL TO REACH THE JEWISH HUMOR CENTRAL WEBSITE, FROM WHICH YOU CLICK ON THE PLAY BUTTON IN THE VIDEO IMAGE TO START THE VIDEO.)

  1. There is life - and humor - beyond the confines of the Garden State; don't stop there.
Keep the Geezer Guffaw's coming - from NJ and elsewhere. (We'll expect to see you in Florida in December - we have a few seniors here in the real Sunshine State.)

  2. You sure do. I'll be glad to come. Just ask your organization to contact me to book a lecture/show/act/entertainment.

  3. This is great...howver, would it be possible for you to take the old Jews to an area where there are not people talking?? The same problem existed with the Catskill folks. The noise from the people talking in the background is not only distracting, but it makes it hard to hear.

    1. You're right, of course. But please understand, this is a work in process and sometimes it's hard to find a quiet place. I'm sorry it's hard to hear but we moved in closer this time and being close to the jokester and showing their full face makes it a bit easier. We'll try to improve on this over time. When you book us for your organization, try to identify a place ahead of time that would be relatively quiet and better suited to this audience participation.

    2. I am old but I heard it fine, Please keep this series going. Doubt that you will ever get out this way buy if you get a chance, Wyoming is a great state--probably not that many Jewish comedians but we do like a good laugh. Ed

    3. Where there are old Jews, there's a crowd of noisy other Jews, usually telling their own version of the same joke! Good stuff, Mr. F!

  4. ZAP...POW.......A heavy-hitting JERSEY sense of humor if ever I heard it! My father, bless his soul, would have LOVED this and told it to everyone who would have listened! As a former Jersey-girl---I particularly love this.....Thanks, Al.....M.A. (I guess even tho you relocate, if you were born at St. Michaels Hospital in Newark, and your grandfather was the first Jewish Monument dealer in NJ, and your father was a very successful businessman in Newark for 50+ years,I suppose I'll ALWAYS BE A JERSEY GIRL!,right??? B'H".
