Jewish Traces in Unexpected Places: The Israeli Queen of American Fireworks

Today we're sharing another episode of Oriel and Lior's road trip through mid-America country roads. This time their journey ends in Youngstown, a small blue-collar town in Ohio.

Against the odds, members of this town’s tiny Jewish community have created the largest retail fireworks company in America, Phantom Fireworks. Oriel and Lior meet Rori Herman Zoldan, the woman behind the company’s success story.

With 77 retail stores and a 750,000 square foot warehouse, they have the highest retail sales of fireworks in the U.S.

Phantom Fireworks Showrooms are open year round, although they probably get a large share of their businesss around the Fourth of July.  With over 75 permanent showrooms nationwide, over 1,500 seasonal tents and stands throughout the country, Phantom Fireworks continues to be America’s #1  fireworks to “Light up Backyards of America, from Coast to Coast.”

They are active in 15 states, but not New York or New Jersey. The closest to NY and NJ is four locations in Pennsylvania. Whether or not you celebrate with fireworks, we wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July tomorrow!
