What's a Show Stopper in Paraguay? Hava Nagila, of Course

Just when we thought we were running out of countries that give their unique styling to Hava Nagila, along comes a new one -- Paraguay.

We don't know what motivated the quartet of Paraguayan musicans that calls themselves Los Paranas del Paraguay to end their concert at a club in San Antonio, Texas with a rousing performance of Hava Nagila, but that's exactly what they did.

We've seen this phenomenon all over the world and we've shared many of the videos with you. And still they keep coming. There's just something about Hava Nagila that gets to every nationality and every culture. Its global popularity would probably have been a big surprise to Abraham Zvi Idelsohn, who composed the song based on a Ukrainian folk dance in 1918 to celebrate the British victory in Palestine during World War I as well as the Balfour Declaration.

Enjoy!
