Los Angeles Jewish Home Residents Demystify the Yiddish Language - Part 2

A couple of weeks ago we posted part one of a two part video series produced at the Los Angeles Jewish Home.

It showed some of the residents shmoozing about the meaning of some common Yiddish words and expressions.

We got a lot of positive feedback and page views for that episode and also requests for more. Part two was released a few days ago and we're happy to bring it to you today.

In this video, the Jewish Home residents chuckle as they explain the meaning of pipik, baleboste, shpilkes, kvell, meshuganeh, vilde chaya, shmegegge, yenta, and nudnik.

All of these bubbes & zaydehs are wonderful with their descriptions. There's no language like Yiddish. Please more interviews with them. Thank you Marty Finkelstein.

Yiddish says everything better than English. Yiddish is a wonderful, priceless language.

I am not Jewish, but clicked on the link. I loved it! Totally got a kick out of them (especially the women) explaining the different meanings of the words. Great video! Post more, please.
