What Tel Aviv University Students (Don't) Know About Purim

Purim is a national holiday in Israel, so wouldn't you expect everyone on the campus of Tel Aviv University to be a walking encyclopedia about Purim? Well, not exactly.

Students walking on campus were asked about the meaning of the holiday, the meaning of its name, what we celebrate, why we dress up in costumes, and what hamantashen are. The answers? Well, see for yourself.

Enjoy, and have a happy Purim!

  2. Oy Vay, to think that so many young students know so little about Purim.
They sounded like students from overseas. Hopefully Israelis would know more.
    Happy Purim to all.
