Welcoming Shabbat with a Shalom Aleichem Samba by Cantor Simon Spiro of the Song Shul

The Song Shul is an independent congregation in Toronto, not affiliated with any organized movement. It welcomes people of all Jewish backgrounds.

The Song Shul has no rabbi. Its spiritual leader is world-renowned Cantor Simon Spiro, a man of enormous Jewish knowledge and musical talent and an outrageous sense of humor.

Its services are conducted by Cantor Spiro, with the a cappella accompaniment of the Toronto Festival Singers. Seating is in-the-round, providing an intimate, warm and welcoming atmosphere for singing along.

Cantor Spiro has performed 17 versions of Shalom Aleichem, including this swinging samba version.

Enjoy and Shabbat shalom!
