Welcoming Shabbat with Shalom Aleichem at Congregation Beth Israel of San Diego

Purim is in the rear window and Pesach is coming up fast, but Shabbat comes every week. Each Friday we post a selection from the Shabbat liturgy to welcome Shabbat Hamalka, the Sabbath queen.

Today we're sharing a new version of Shalom Aleichem, from the Kabbalat Shabbat Friday night service, as sung at Congregation Beth Israel of San Diego, California.

Congregation Beth Israel, the historic center of Jewish life in San Diego, is an inclusive Reform congregation that offers a warm welcome and a nurturing home to all who seek a meaningful and enduring connection to Judaism.

Enjoy, and Shabbat shalom!
