Apples and honey are likely to be seen at every dinner table next Wednesday night as Jews all over the world welcome the New Year 5775. But why should eating this delectable and symbolic dish be limited to dinner tables?
The folks at Israel21c, the online news magazine offering diverse
and reliable information about 21st century Israel, have produced a video showing Israelis eating apples and honey in some of the most unlikely places.
The video takes us on a sweeping tour of Israel's beaches, streams, skies, markets, parks, playgrounds, climbing wall and Western Wall, where people are all partaking of the Rosh Hashanah custom.
Enjoy!
