Chanukah Countdown Begins: Yeshiva Boys Choir In New Music Video

Can you believe it's that time  again? There are only 15 days until we light the first Chanukah candle.

As we do each year at Jewish Humor Central, we'll watch for the latest and greatest in Chanukah videos, comedy, and stories that will help to start your day with a special smile during this holiday period. We'll be looking for new appearances by the Maccabeats and the Fountainheads and any other groups that come forward with original Chanukah videos, and when we find them, you'll be among the first to see them.

We're not going to be the all-Chanukah, all-the-time blog, but you'll find a lot of Chanukah content here until we light the eighth candle on December 27.

The first music video specifically made for Chanukah 2011 is Those Were the Nights, a humorous look back at Chanukahs past by the Yeshiva Boys Choir. It takes a hysterical look at those eight dreidel-spinning, latke-gorging, gelt-giving nights of our youth.

The Yeshiva Boys Choir was formed in 2003 by Eli Gerstner and Yossi Newman. Seven years and five albums later—including the brand-new, just released “YBC 5—Chanukah”—the Choir is going strong.

The Choir has performed in many sold-out shows, both within the U.S. and abroad, including three shows in Israel this past summer. Enjoy!

(A SPECIAL NOTE FOR NEW EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS:  THE VIDEO MAY NOT BE VIEWABLE DIRECTLY FROM THE EMAIL THAT YOU GET EACH DAY ON SOME COMPUTERS AND TABLETS.  YOU MUST CLICK ON THE TITLE AT THE TOP OF THE EMAIL TO REACH THE JEWISH HUMOR CENTRAL WEBSITE, FROM WHICH YOU CLICK ON THE PLAY BUTTON IN THE VIDEO IMAGE TO START THE VIDEO.)
